This page is about the Pokemon Vaporeon, the water evolution. It was introduced in the first generation and has been available ever since, although Eevee has not.
How to obtain Vaporeon
To get a Vaporeon, you will need an Eevee, which can be found based on the data on the Eevee page. Second, you will need a water stone. A water stone is found:
Red, Blue, Yellow: Celadon Department Store
Gold, Silver, Crystal: Bill's Grandfather (Route 25), Mystery Gifting (rare), or Fisherman Tully (route 42, phone).
Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald: Diving Treasure Hunter (route 124, near Mossdeep, exchanges for shards), Abandoned Ship (route 108).
FireRed, LeafGreen: Same as Red/Blue/Yellow, also Seafoam Islands.
Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness: Phenac Stadium or Gateon Port.
Diamond, Pearl, Platinum: Solaceon Ruins, The Underground, and route 213.
HeartGold, SoulSilver: Bill's Grandfather (Route 25, Fisher Tully (route 42), Bug catching (first place), Seafoam Islands, Beyond the Sea, or the Pokeathlon Dome (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday).
Black, White: Castelia City, Driftveil City, Black City, Dust Clouds.
Stats
Being an evolution of Eevee, it has a significant stat boost. It has an impressive base total of 525 (similar to Cloyster and Venusaur) with an alarming 130hp coupled with 110 Special Attack and 95 Special Defense, making it one mean fight. The other stats average ~63.
Moves
Vaporeon can learn many specialized moves that the other evolutions cannot. It can learn seven different water moves, as well as four ice moves and a ground move, giving it a decent fight against its weakness (grass and electric). It can also learn Sunny Day, which is odd as it possesses no moves or ability that could benefit from it.
